Welcome to our new website! Wynona School faculty and staff would love for you to explore the pages of our website. Click on the listed tabs or find your teacher or staff member in the directories. Teachers are working on new information such as class assignments and upcoming events to make the communication process with parents and caregivers much more convenient. If you should have questions about the site, please call us at 918-846-2467.
Wynona Public Schools would like to thank the Enbridge Corporation for their generous donation of $3000 to purchase 2 defibrillators for our school.  The plan is that these would be available for community use, as well, should the need arise.  We do not have these on the premises yet, but are excited to be able to have them available soon!  We appreciate their generosity!
Our Junior High fast pitch team is doing very well!  We are a relatively new team in that we have had to rebuild.  These girls have shown tremendous courage in "stepping up to the plate" to learn to pitch or take on other new positions!  They have practiced in incredible heat and have stayed strong!  We are very proud of our team!  We have two home games next week - Tuesday, September 2, at 4:30, against Shidler and Thursday, September 4, against Bowring at 4:30.  They will then play during the day at Oklahoma Union on Friday.  Our final game will be on Monday, September 8, at home against Copan, at 4:30.  Please come support our team if you can!
Next Friday, September 5, is Grandparents' Day!  We welcome any guests who would like to eat lunch with their special child/children.  The cost for the guest's meal is $3.75.  We will also have our book fair at that time.  Please call the office at 918-846-2467 to let us know if you plan to attend so we can prepare enough food.  Also, please reserve the evening of September 26, for our first parent/student night.  We are planning activities concerning reading, for students to share with their parents.
Remember that there will be no school on Monday, September 1.  Parent conferences will be September 16 and 18 from 4 - 7 P.M.  Please keep those one of those dates available to meet with your child's teacher.  It is very important to know how things are going at school before the grades become permanent.   There will be no school on Monday, September 22, for a professional day for the teachers.   We wish everyone a safe and restful Labor Day!
